ROCHESTER – Scott Sorvaag has been named dean of Winona State College’s faculty of training and can start his new job on July 1, 2023.
Sorvaag is at present the Chair of College Trainer Schooling at Saint Mary’s College of Minnesota. Sorvaag will substitute Ted Reilly, who was named interim dean final 12 months.
“Dr. Sorvaag will deliver to WSU his clear imaginative and prescient, demonstrated management success and deep understanding of the wants of each school and college students,” stated Darrell Newton, WSU provost and vice chairman for educational affairs.
With campuses in each Winona and Rochester, WSU’s faculty of training serves 974 undergraduate college students, 178 graduate college students, and 35 doctoral college students. WSU employs 38 full-time school.
Sorvaag earned his bachelor’s diploma from Augustana School, his grasp’s diploma from the College of South Dakota, and his doctorate in training from Saint Mary’s College in Minnesota.
Sorvaag beforehand served as director of basic training at Saint Mary’s College, dean of training, and chair of undergraduate trainer training. He was additionally an elementary college trainer for Speedy Metropolis Space Faculties and an elementary college principal for Arlington Elementary Faculty.
